Connected to guest Wi-Fi but can't browse

In the event a guest can connect but can't browse run through the following steps.

 

 

Steps:

  1. Ensure the guest is connected to guest wi-fi in the network settings of the device.
  2. Open a browser on the guest's device and browse to the link below that matches your property and network:

     3. Check the terms of service box and click connect.

 

The above steps is a known work around for certain iOS and Android devices. In some cases this happens on laptops as well but is rare.

This is known to fix any and all connectivity issues on guest Wi-Fi if the device shows connected but not able to browse or showing messages like the following:

  1. Connected, no internet
  2. Connected, authorization required

The following should be included in this ticket:

  1. Location and area the issue has arisen (This must include room number(s) or defined areas e.g. Bar area)
  2. Device name, device type, device model or any other identification possible of the specific device in question
  3. What has been tried already.
  4. If the guest has already rebooted their device.
  5. If engineering or FD has gone to the area in question and tried to connect.
