Power issue at Ella (Resolved)

  • The power at Ella has gone down. This is outside IT's control and is being addressed by the City of Austin power team.

     

    Any tickets regarding this issue will be pointed to this outage notification. 

     

    Currently we have no ETA but expect 2-6 hours of downtime.

Grande Phone Services in Texas - Out (Resolved)

    Update 3:14PM: this issue has been resolved and phones are now working normally.

    We have been notified of an issue with analog phone services from the locations at SCH serviced off the local phone system.

     

    Grande is the provider for the phone lines at this location and currently all of Texas is having an issue in the Grande universe. We are working closely with them to ensure a quick resolve and have provided them with all necessary and pertinent data.

     

    We expect this issue to be resolve within the next few hours however we do not have an official ETA.

  • UPDATE 6PM Central: Power and VPN service have been restored.

    A nearby lightning strike has cut all power at Hotel Ella, resulting in some disruption of VPN service. Austin 311 reports that a crew is dispatched.

    Oracle is currently experiencing a server outage related to payment processing. They are aware of the issue and their Cloud team is working the problem.

  • We had a security patch that needed to be applied and required a reboot. Applied and rebooted. This resolved it however took our uptime from 100+ days to now 7 days (when this entry is being made). downtime was about 35 seconds.
